Read the readme cause its kinda hard to setup. Granted, I only had one map properly convert. You won't believe your eyes when you see how big the map is! So much to build!Īs a note, I don't use CAM (Colossus Addon Mod) because it requires a ton of additional lots (way too many for me) and also isn't compatible with some of the other mods in that list.īarsoom pretty much overhauls "some" mars maps to a "green" map or used for terran/earth maps but with a sci-fi twist. The map is massive, I think one of the bigger game maps out there for SimCity 4. But, maybe some will like that kinda theme for a city builder. That and Sim Mars was mostly aesthetic changes, instead of actual gameplay changes.
Personally I stopped using mars, because I like my game I have going on on a South America region. I didn't run into any problems or anything. Sim Mars never left beta 3, but from what I tested it out.it worked good enough. Sim Mars you will be amazed because it changes the entire game to a mars theme! SPAM ((SimPeg Agricultural Mod) and I-RM (Industrial Revolution Mod) are both great as well for the former overhauling the farming industry (which farming doesn't work well late game in vanilla SimCity 4) and the latter making industry even better. It overalls the traffic system, adds a lot of new roads/freeways and makes a huge change and a much better change to the game. NAM (Network Addon Mod) especially is a 100% required mod. You will be amazed by what the mods do to make a much better game!
I highly recommend checking those mods out. For those that still play SimCity 4, since its pretty much still the to-go-to for city builders.
