Although, more than a decade after its release, Fallout 3 still attracts a lot of gamers and reigns as one of the most loved and played games around the world. Fallout 3 was followed by the release of Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. It is also one of the primary reasons why gamers around the globe love Bethesda Game Studios’ post-apocalyptic Fallout game series. Also, a research conducted in 2015, estimated that nearly 12.5 million copies of the game had been sold! The list includes multiple Game of the Year awards for the year 2008 and some for 2009, Role-Playing Game of the Year, Best RPG, etc.
Launched in 2008, the game has won numerous awards and accolades. So, if you can play 4, 76 should run ok on your lappy although you will have to tweak the draw distance and maybe drop it down a notch in detail, this is only the beta though and it could still throw a spanner in there, not sure if you can get a refund if it doesn't run either so i'd check that first.Fallout 3 is unquestionably one of the greatest role-playing games ever made. The baseline cpu/gpu stress when you're inside a building after a loading entry are no different to 4 although system ram usage is slightly higher, outside saw my system usage jump by 100% usage compared to 4 (sys ram usage for 4=4gb,76=8gb) (all 1080p), the graphics on ultra maxed out my 970 when i faced a distant landscape and killed the framerate until i looked at a less cluttered area, reducing the draw distance fixed all that but made a lot of things in the distance very blurry but the game played fine with those settings, the 1080 is fine with everything on max and only drops occasionally when you enter a large area, cpu usage is nominal, my fx8350 never went abouve 80% at any time and that's an old chip! I've been running benchmarks during the beta as i've just upgraded from a gtx970 to a gtx1070,
